Symmes Township, one of Ohio’s most historic and scenic communities, was formed in 1824 from the eastern portion of Sycamore Township and bears the name of John Cleves Symmes. Symmes, in 1788, made the “Miami Purchase” which led to the founding of Cincinnati. Within the township’s 41.8 square miles in northeastern Hamilton County you’ll fine beautiful neighborhoods, an abundance of green space, a wide range of shopping and dining options, as well as a thriving business community.
